2026 Spring Program Options – Kansas City NFL FLAG

Our primary and most popular league format. This is a traditional team based NFL FLAG season featuring weekly games, standings, and a Division Tournament to close out the season. Teams are formed by age, school, and experience level to promote fair and balanced competition.

GameDay Series Saturday / GameDay Series Sunday

A game first developmental experience focused on maximum reps and real gameplay. This program features randomized teams, continuous play, no standings, and a low pressure environment built for learning and confidence building.

Competitive League

An elevated NFL FLAG experience designed for athletes seeking higher competition, faster pace, and advanced gameplay within a structured league format.

All Girls League

A girls only NFL FLAG experience focused on development, confidence, and competition in an empowering environment.

7v7 League

Advanced passing focused football for older athletes. This format emphasizes route concepts, timing, coverage recognition, and high level competition.

Season Overview

This outdoor Spring season includes

• Uniform pick up

• Meet and Greet and Practice Day

• League games

• Division Tournament

Ages 5 to 17 are welcome to play. Teams are formed by age, school, and experience level.

Practice and Games

Practice

Teams practice 1 hour before each game at the same location as their field site. Some teams may choose to hold additional practices at local schools or parks. These fields are not reserved by the league.

Game Schedule

The season runs for 7 total weeks and includes

• 6 regular season games

• 6 practices

• 1 bye week

• Division Tournament

Game days and times vary by location

• Saturday and Sunday between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM

• Friday evenings between 5:00 PM and 10:00 PM

All times are subject to change based on field availability and enrollment.

Format and Team Play

Most divisions compete in the NFL FLAG 5v5 format. Based on registration numbers, some divisions may adjust to 4v4 or 3v3 to ensure balanced teams and increased playing time.

High School divisions primarily play 7v7. If needed, these divisions may adjust formats to ensure competitive and complete divisions.

Division Tournament and Championships

Top teams in each division compete for the League Championship.

Only 1st place teams receive Championship Rings.

Division winners advance to the Playoffs or Super Bowl. All remaining teams play a full consolation game so every athlete finishes the season on the field.

• Mouthguard required each week available onsite for $5

Additional gear may be purchased during registration.

Schedules and Communication

Schedules are released 1 to 2 weeks before the season.

We use the MOJO App to share rosters, schedules, and league announcements.

Volunteer Coaches Needed

No coaching experience is required. Training materials and a Coaches Meeting are provided.

All Kansas City NFL FLAG athletes are eligible to compete in official NFL FLAG Regional Tournaments.

Games will be played on Sunday's @ JCCC - Johnson County Community College with practices running one hour prior to game time. Time will be determined based on the number of registrations.

- Location and field times are subject to change based on field availability and enrollment.

-Division Price: $139 plus 3.99% processing fee

Division Descriptions:

6U - Lombardi Division: For participants under the age of 7 as of August 1.

Players who turn 7 on August 2 or after will remain in the 6U division.

8U - Shula Division: Designed for participants under the age of 9 as of August 1.

Players who turn 9 on August 2 or after will still participate in the 8U division.

10U - Madden Rookie Division: Open to participants under the age of 11 as of August 1.

Players who turn 11 on August 2 or after will continue their involvement in the 10U division.

12U - Madden Pro Division: Intended for participants under the age of 13 as of August 1.

Players who turn 13 on August 2 or after will retain their placement in the 12U division.

14U - Madden All Pro Division: is for participants under the age of 15 as of August 1.

Players who turn 15 on August 2 or after will be eligible to participate in the 14U division.

High School - Madden All Madden Division: is for high school participants.

Any individual currently in high school or entering high school in the upcoming school year is invited to join our Madden All Madden Division.

Note: All players are welcome to play up to older divisions, however, we do not allow players to play down in younger aged divisions.

During the registration, please note that team formation will adhere to the same guidelines as NFL FLAG, which are based on approved age divisions. Our objective is to form teams where children can play with their classmates from the same school. In the event that there are not enough teams to form a full division, we reserve the right to combine age divisions when needed.

Players who participated in the immediately prior Fall or Spring season will have first dibs to be on their same team from that prior season if they sign up on time. Late registrants lose the first shot at being on the same team. You may request a different team and will be placed based on your request unless the team you requested is full.
Players who did not play the previous season will be placed based on their school attending. We try our best to get them with classmates. If all teams with classmates are full or there are no other kids from the same school registered, then we will try to put them on a team from a nearby school. You may request a team that is not from your school, and we will honor that request if the team is not full.

A late fee kicks August 1st. - We do not want anyone to pay a late fee. We just need you to sign up on time, so please register before August 1st. Once we hit the late registration deadline, we will not waive late fees and you lose the right to be on the same team from the immediately preceding season (Fall or Spring).

NFL FLAG Spring GameDay Series powered by Just Compete

Program Format

The Spring GameDay Series is a 4 week GameDay focused football experience built around full field 5V5 play. This is not a traditional standings based league. Each weekend focuses on real gameplay, development through competition, and maximum on field reps in a fun, competitive, low pressure environment.

Athletes are on the field for a full 60 minutes of continuous gameplay each session with equal playing time and position rotation. Players learn by competing, rotating roles, and experiencing real game situations every week.

Divisions

• 6U Lombardi

• 8U Shula

• 10U Madden Rookie

• 12U Madden Pro

• 14U Madden All Pro

• High School Madden All Madden

Each division is capped at 20 players and will close once filled.

Weekly Session Structure

Total time: 90 minutes

• 30 minutes of quick build and prep including team formation, warm up, belt check, and quick install

• 60 minutes of full field 5V5 continuous gameplay

Gameplay Details

• Full field 5V5

• Continuous running clock

• Equal playing time with position rotation

• 2 to 3 quarterbacks per game

• Maximum touches and real game situations

• Mercy rule in effect to keep games competitive

GameDay Experience

• Randomized rosters each week

• New teammates and matchups weekly

• No standings and no playoffs

• High reps, high energy, low pressure

Coaching

• 2 experienced coaches per division

• 1 volunteer apprentice coach per team

Location

Mill Valley / Shawnee Mission School District

Specific school location is TBD and will be confirmed once finalized with the district.

All sessions will be held at a Shawnee Mission school gymnasium. Final details will be shared prior to the start of the season.
